WHAT’S YOUR RANK?

So what is your rank? Do you see yourself as an unimportant cadet who runs behind trying to keep up, or a General who stands tall, secure in his position?

God made us as the most important part of his creation and, however we feel about ourselves, He still ranks us at the top – as perfect.

So often though, because of what life throws at us, we don’t feel good enough for God so we run and hide or ignore the need around us. Some of us just fake it & pretend we feel good enough – until we get found out! But I heard this quote, “It’s not about being a good person, it’s about being a forgiven person”. God knows we’ll make huge mistakes all the time so He allows us to take on His rank – and that is perfect.

Only once we understand our own rank can we help others to understand theirs.

“So let’s do it— full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshipping together as some do but spurring each other on…” (Heb. 10 msg)
